1. Necessary website storage
Some browser-side storage can be used for features you explicitly request. For example, the “What Is My IP?” history and VPN before/after comparison can store a previous IP value and timestamp in your browser's localStorage. These values stay in that browser unless you clear them and are not intended to be uploaded to an IP-Lookup.com lookup-history database.
2. Google Analytics 4
When the website operator enables Google Analytics 4, GA4 can help measure page usage, navigation and technical performance. For visitors covered by the configured European consent regions, analytics storage defaults to denied until the Google CMP supplies the user's consent choice. If analytics storage is denied, Google tags can operate with restricted, cookieless measurement behavior rather than normal analytics-cookie storage.
3. Google AdSense
When enabled, Google AdSense provides advertising. Advertising can involve cookies or other local storage and processing by Google and other advertising technology providers for purposes such as ad delivery, measurement, security and, where consent is granted, personalization. The Google Privacy & messaging CMP presents the relevant purposes and vendors to eligible visitors.
4. Google Consent Mode
Consent Mode communicates a visitor's consent state to Google services. IP-Lookup.com's integration supports the four current consent signals used for web measurement and advertising: analytics storage, ad storage, advertising user data and ad personalization. Visitors in the configured EEA, UK and Swiss regions default to denied for those purposes until the CMP updates the choice.
5. Changing your choice
You can change a previous Google consent choice by using the Privacy and cookie settings control. On ordinary pages where the Google CMP is active, the same control is also available in the footer.
6. Third-party diagnostic services
Some network diagnostics call third-party services because the requested test cannot be performed entirely by IP-Lookup.com. Those requests are described in the Privacy Policy. Their storage and processing practices are governed by their own policies and are separate from Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
7. Browser controls
You can also remove cookies or localStorage through your browser settings. Clearing browser data can reset stored preferences or tool history and may cause consent messages to be shown again.
